What: Sundown Fridays

Wash away the work week with beer, cocktails and lounge DJ, Brian Carlon.

What: Candlelight Vigil for Refugees – #SixYearsTooLong

Where/When: Friday 19 July – From 4:30pm – 7 Main Street, Buderim

Description: Friday 19 July marks the sixth year of indefinite detention on Manus Island and Nauru for people seeking safety.

This candlelight vigil is a time to gather, reflect and honour the 915 people remaining.

Please join St Mark’s Anglican Church Buderim, Buddies Refugee Support Group, Amnesty International Sunshine Coast, Sunshine Coast Refugee Action Network (SCRAN) and community members as we unite to acknowledge this ongoing situation.

Arrive from 4.30pm to prepare your candles. Ceremony begins at sunset with the tolling of the bells. Soup will be served in the church after the ceremony. All welcome

What: Sunshine Coast Collective Markets at Alexandra Headland

Where/When: Saturday 20 July – 7am – 12pm – Alex Skate Park, Alexandra Pde

Description: We have been approved for two more bonus market days at Alex Headland and we couldn’t be more excited!!! You can find us either side of the Alexandra Headland Skatepark on the 20th of July and the 5th of October.

Sunshine Coast Collective Markets isn’t just your average market….. it is a collective of over 100 local Sunshine Coast designers, musicians, artists, foodies, creators, vintage wares and lifestyle lovers. No mass produced or cheap imported products to be found!


What: Hot 91 Heritage Bank Noosa Fire In The Sky

Where/When: Saturday 20 July – 1-6:30pm – Lions Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Description: Hot 91 Heritage Bank NOOSA FIRE IN The SKY with thanks to See Well Law is back Saturday 20 July – as part of NOOSA alive! Festival.

All the free family fun takes place at Noosaville Lions Park from 3pm, kicking off with a live broadcast from Hot 91’s Dave, Sam & Ash.

The entertainment line-up includes our favourite Sunshine Coast troubadour Andrea Kirwin; the Sunshine Troupe Inc; and then the fabulous Alisha Todd and her band The Volcanic Lovers – sure to keep you moving and shaking until the grande finale fireworks!

At 6.15pm, Noosa’s biggest fireworks display with over 10,000 individual shells lights the sky with a synchronised soundtrack only heard on Hot 91.

Heaps of great food stalls onsite. Bring your picnic blanket and picnic basket and get ready for a fun day in the Park!

What: Brightwater Block Party

Where/When: Sunday 21 July – 12-3pm – Brightwater Lakeside Park

Description: It’s on again Brightwater residents, surrounding residents, friends and family. We’ve rescheduled the inaugural Brightwater Block Party for the 21st July.

Come on down for a great afternoon with food trucks, music, market stalls and great sense of community.


What: Parmy Sundays

Where/When: Sunday 21 July – 10am – 8:30pm – Duporth Tavern

Description: What could be better than a cheap meal deal on a Sunday! Head to Duporth Tavern for a Parmy and beer for only $15.50. They also have live music!


What: Fishermans Road Sunday Market

Where/When: Sunday 21 July – 6am-12pm – Fishermans Rd, Maroochydore

Description: An oldie but a goodie, this market has everything you need—and plenty you don’t, but you’ll want anyway. From fresh fruit and veg to plants and, of course, rainbow bagels,we love the no-frills vibe of this weekly gathering.
