Looking for something to do this weekend?
There are a lot of adventures you could have on the Sunshine Coast.
The Buderim Forest Waterfall Walk
Less than a ten minute drive from Cotton Tree and you’ll find yourself at the foot of Buderim Forest and at one of two entry points to the Buderim Forest walk. Access at this point is off Harry’s Lane which runs of Lindsay Rd. The track winds it way through a rainforest of trees beside bubbling Martin’s Creek interrupted by small waterfalls and cascades until you reach what is unofficially known as “Serenity Falls”. Take a moment to listen to the sounds of nature or hold your breath and plunge into the refreshing rock pool.
Central to all locations, Maroochydore’s Sunshine Plaza is the major shopping centre for the Sunshine Coast. Apart from being home to a number of the major retailers, a vast array of coffee shops, cafes and restaurants can be found within the centre. A number of these are positioned along the boardwalk overlooking the water. The major cinema complex for the Sunshine Coast is also housed within the complex along the boardwalk area. The Plaza is a liesurely walk away from Cotton Tree or a take a bus and be there within minutes.
Located an hour north of Brisbane, on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Australia Zoo is a team of passionate conservationists working around-the-clock to deliver an animal experience like no other.
Steve and Terri Irwin’s vision has always been to make Australia Zoo the biggest and best wildlife conservation facility in the entire world, and there is no other zoo like Australia Zoo!
