Congratulations to all our students that graduated Lexis Sunshine Coast on Friday!

Here’s a little bit about some of them…

Yu is from Japan and graduated out of Dylan’s Pre-Intermediate class.
He has been here at Lexis for about 5 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“I think here is one of the best places in the world, I love the Sunshine Coast.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“I am very glad that I was able to meet my friends. I had a great time at Lexis.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Just have fun!!”

Megumi is from Japan and graduated out of Dylan’s Pre-Intermediate class.
She has been here at Lexis for 6 weeks.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The best thing is that I made many friends.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes, mostly my listening skills.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“I loved communication games.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Make friends with people from different countries.”

Tachcha is from Thailand and graduated out of Dylan’s Pre-Intermediate class.
She has been here at Lexis for 6 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“I have new friends and I know English more than before.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes, I can speak, listen and read more.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“Always a fun, happy activity in the class.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Participate in class.”

Rebecca is from Switzerland and graduated out of Sonia’s Cambridge CAE class.
She has been here at Lexis for 10 weeks.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The sun is shining almost all the time, and although you are in school you feel like you are on holidays.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes, a lot! You are always confronted with English so you have to speak in this language.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“I had the opportunity to meet so many new people from all over the world.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Don’t be afraid to make mistakes! Only when you try to speak, you’ll learn.”

Meiko is from Japan and graduated out of Steve’s IELTS class.
She has been here at Lexis for 2 years.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“What I like most about coming to Australia is the people and the beautiful beach. I could meet nice people here.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“I hope so. When I started studying at Lexis I was in Elementary, I couldn’t speak English at all.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“I could make foreign friends.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“A lot of people have learnt English, it is the common language. So it is important to learn English.”

Damaris is from Switzerland and graduated out of Liz’s Intermediate class.
She has been here at Lexis for 9 weeks.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The beach, surfing, weather & people.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes, mostly my speaking, listening & grammar.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“The location, teachers & people.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Go to a Lexis school.”

Ramona is from Switzerland and graduated out of Peter’s Upper-Intermediate class.
She has been here at Lexis for 2 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The weather, the people and my class mates.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes, I think my grammar got better and I am more confident in my speaking.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“The new friends you’ll find here. The great learning atmosphere.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Do a lot with other people in your spare time and speak English with them.”

(Unfortunately we do not have a photo of Ellie’s class as they were doing their Cambridge testing!)

Katerina is from Czech Republic and graduated out of Ellie’s Cambridge FCE class.
She has been here at Lexis for 6 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The best thing was that I improved my English a lot, met a lot of nice friendly people and had a lot of experiences.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“Every day was different and every day I learned something new and interesting.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“I would recommend to everyone to speak English as much as possible, watch English movies and read English books.”

Misaki is from Japan and graduated out of Ellie’s Cambridge FCE class.
She has been here at Lexis for 11 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“It has the most beautiful beach and beautiful weather that I have experienced before.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes when I came here I hadn’t studied English since I graduated High School so my English skills were poor.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“We can talk with other nationalities, it’s an amazing thing. I realised that English is amazing!”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Don’t speak your own language with other students.”

Shinichiro is from Japan and graduated out of Ellies’s Cambridge FCE class.
He has been here at Lexis for 5 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“I’ve lived near the beach and tried surfing for the first time. It was a precious experience for me.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“At first, I was not good at listening and speaking but now I’ve improved them a lot.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“Every Thursday we had student party and it was a good opportunity to be close friends with foreign people (such as Andres, from Spain). .”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“You should talk to many people so that you can broaden your perspective of the world and life.”

Dennis is from Switzerland and graduated out of Dylan’s Cambridge FCE class.
He has been here at Lexis for 10 weeks.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“The good weather and the relaxed and friendly people.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“Our teacher Ellie and the nice people.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Speak in English only!”

Rie is from Japan and graduated out of Ellie’s Cambridge FCE class.
She has been here at Lexis for 10 months.

What has been the best thing about coming to Australia/ Sunshine Coast? 
“I’ve met a lot of students from other countries. Also, I could learn different culture from them. It was a good experience for me.”

Has your English improved since starting at Lexis?
“Yes. When I came here, I couldn’t talk to student because I was afraid of speaking English. But now I can talk to them and write sentences in English.”

What was your favourite thing about studying at Lexis?
“I liked grammar class in the morning because we studies it while we were playing a game and speaking. It was exciting.”

What tip would you give someone that wants to learn English?
“Don’t be afraid of making mistakes. I was afraid of speaking and asking questions. But I think I wasted time, so don’t worry about mistakes.”
