Today the EASTER BUNNY visited all of the students at Lexis English. Each student enjoyed a chocolate treat for all of their hard work this week… HAPPY EASTER!
Nico has joined the Lexis team and is currently training at Noosa and also looking after our awesome Junior students. Nico will then be joining our Sunshine Coast campus from April…
“Hi there, my name is Nico, I am happy to be the new student support/activities coordinator at Lexis Sunshine Coast Campus! I love the outdoors, water sports in particular such as swimming, rowing and kayaking. I have practiced many sports but I stuck to rowing since I was 12 years old and represented my city in France for national championships. I have travelled around Europe, parts of the Caribbean, Australia, south-east Asia and I am looking forward to discover the rest of the world as soon as possible. I was born in Belgium and grew up in France, so I am lucky to speak Dutch, French, English and a bit of German. I have always enjoyed the language courses I studied at school and this led me to study International trade in France before leaving for Australia. I have pursued different studies here in Australia on the Gold Coast and studied Environmental Sciences. Eventually I will work on a project combining both International trade and Environmental Sciences. I am very excited to be part of the Lexis team and I am looking forward meeting all the students and staff at the campus. My aim is to make sure students are having fun and that they all keep great memories from their stay on the beautiful Sunshine Coast!”
Thanks Nico 🙂

Today, students got involved and donned green for some St Patrick’s Day fun! The Saudi boys (plus Taro!) kicked off the fashion parade with a Saudi Arabian twist on a traditional Irish dance. Yvonne and Naomi then took the ropes and introduced the participants of this years St Patrick’s Day fashion parade, which included Julie, Taro, Rayan and Khalid. With all participants coloured head to toe in green, picking a winner wasn’t easy. Khalid’s eccentric dancing and giant green Guinness hat drew a big cheer from the crowd ~winning it for him, and collecting first prize! Taro was a close second with his all green attire, including his green lighter! Thank you too all who took part in the St Patrick’s Day festivities!
“My name is Kim and I work at the Lexis English School in Maroochydore.
I have been working at the school for 6 months, and it has been great!
I love meeting all you lovely students and hearing about where you are from and where you want to travel to in Australia. I am from England, but moved to Australia five and a half years ago. I do miss home, but I LOVE the sunshine and warm water! I used to be a surf instructor and have travelled to many beautiful countries to surf! Surfing is definitely something you should all try here in Australia, Mojo surf camp is a GREAT place to learn and so is Noosa!
Can you guess which famous destination my photo was taken at?
I am looking forward to getting to know all the new Lexis students! Woohooooo 🙂
