Louanne Oaks’ believes that role play is a fun way to practise spoken English and her students all agree.

The Speaking Option topic on Friday was food and restaurants. After pre learning the required vocabulary, the students were given the task to prepare a role play situated in a restaurant. After ordering their meals, a cockroach would be found in the meal and they would need to make a complaint.

The role plays were hilarious and everyone enjoyed the performances. The students all agree that this is a fun and practical way to improve speaking skills.
